Hunt for the Hotel: Oakwood Premiere Ortigas

Fiance is in town for a quick vacation as Japan celebrates their golden week. Then, it was the time he got involved in our wedding preparations (ako naman ang magpapahirap sa kanya) and we have several itineraries.

Our first stop is Oakwood Premier which would be our prep hotel for the wedding. We really do not have a choice in our prep hotel, since I grabbed the Oakwood membership for Php 4,888.00 with a variety of vouchers. Our Oakwood visit is a merely formality.

Oakwood Premier, not to be mistaken to the Oakwood Hotel in Makati where the military stand-off/ mutiny occurred several years back, is located along ADB Avenue in Ortigas. Nearby landmarks are Ansons Ortigas, across the street is ADB, few walks is The Podium and Robinsons in either sides, and about 15 minute-walk away is Megamall. You can access the hotel from Oakwood Joy Nostalg Center facing ADB Avenue, or take the actual entrance at the back facing Topaz Road.

Sadly, it doesn't have a grand lobby or a staircase which you can have your wedding pictorials, but the rooms compensate for it.

One bedroom suite

Floor area: 83-94 square meters

A lot bigger than Linden Suites (I have visited Linden several times), it has a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed. All the units in Oakwood has a living area, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen.

Two bedroom suite

Floor area: 131 square meters

Oakwood's two bedroom suite is even bigger than the three-bedroom suite of Linden Suites. It has two bedrooms with twin beds and another a king sized bed. Similar to the one-bedroom suite, it also has a living area, dining table for 6 people and a fully equipped kitchen. It has a master's bathroom with an LCD TV.

Though it is not included in our list of vouchers, the Hotel Attendant was eager to show us the three bedroom suite.

Three bedroom suite

Floor area: 182 square meters

Relative to Linden's suite, it will almost two times the three bedrooms. It has three bedrooms - one with king sized bed, another with a queen sized bed and a twin bed room. It has three bathrooms, one for each room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a laundry room (with a washer and dryer).

And finally, the mandatory corridor shot!

Membership

One of the w@wies referred me to the sales agent of Oakwood. We managed my account thru text - vouchers were delivered to our office (as it was more convenient for me) and I paid the membership fee to the delivery man. No worries, they issue receipts. After few weeks, my membership card was also delivered.

The vouchers included were 2 vouchers of studio executive, 4 vouchers of one bedroom and 2 vouchers of two bedroom. These room vouchers are only valid during weekends (Fridays to Sundays) and holidays. Aside from the room vouchers, there are also discount on Oakroom - Oakwood's restaurant and 10% discount on spa services.

This is a first of our oculars together. Hopefully, more to come.

Happy to be in each other's hands,
